Rough Sketch
If you look closely at this drawing, you'll see a light yellow pencil sketch under the darker, more refined lines. It's helpful to rough out a puppet design first with a light color before committing to a final dark line.

What I really like about the sketch is that the yellow comes off as giving the sketch luminescence. I never thought of starting in yellow before. I knew about light blue from the comics, but yellow. Neat! (oh, and I love your work).
