Swazzle Workshop Shoot
Here are a few photos from our latest puppet project; The "Swazzle Workshop". Sean, Patrick, Victoria (Johnson), Tim (Sweeney), and myself all worked on this project (we shot it at the Chiodo Brothers in burbank. Here are a few shots of Sean and Patrick getting started:

They're painting the background for the shoot in Swazzle colors.
Here are a few more:

This one is a wide(ish) shot of the set, you can see that it's fully lit. Sean is the Tiger puppet & Victoria is Mousedeer puppet (you can make out their legs in this shot). Patrick is directing.

The first 'episode'features a craft from our puppet show Harry and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. In this photo, we have Tim on the T-Rex craft puppet, Victoria (Mousedeer), and Sean (Tiger).
I'll post more later!

Animatronics @ the Academy
Patrick did a post about this event (it's been extended! Yay! Go see it!) but, I thought I'd post some pics of my visit there over the summer.
I'm driving down to LA today, so I won't be posting until AFTER the weekend. Once I'm back I'll be putting up some pics of our latest project--more details to come!

Me in the Academy lobby by the banner (ya can't use a flash in the exhibit-drat!)

Patrick checking his pic of Johnny 5.

Sir Didymus (I loved this guy!)

Aughra. I thought this picture came out great.

Fizgig (with Patrick in the background)
More when I return! Until then...enjoy!

Here are a series of photos from a B.A.R.K. the Robot Dog show in Monrovia. I managed to catch an evening performance during the run. I try to make it a point to see the show I'm not touring with. I'm usually there when we rehearse all the shows but, throught the course of a tour, each show evolves and changes--so I like to catch 'em in the middle of the run.

This is the "Title" curtain for B.A.R.K--I made this curtain (and I don't get to make much for the shows, since I'm so far away).

Here's the audience for this show. It was an outdoor show in the evening. The families brought picnic dinners (a wonderful idea!)

This is one of Tim Sweeney setting up the sound.

Patrick doing the intro to the show.

I couldn't get really great pics of this outdoor show, as I couldn't get close to the stage for picture taking without blocking someone's view. This is the best of a an 'eh' lot. If you've read my past postings, you may notice that this scene is the same as one from rehearsals.
Enjoy!

More Tour photos!

I LOVE 'road' photos! Here are a few more from the Heritage Square in Santa Fe Springs.
This photo is from a recreation of a Native American dwelling in Heritage Square in Santa Fe Springs.

Here's a pic of me on a little bridge across from the exhibit (I rarely get a photo of myself during a tour--so, Thanks Sean!)

Here's the interior of the dwelling.

Sean is getting a"head" of the tour (oh, that IS a BAD pun!). Actually, this is the exterior of the dwelling.
Enjoy!

Views from the road
At last! Time to put some photos from our Summer '06 up!
Here are a few from our show in Santa Fe Springs:

This old barn isn't really surrounded by cactus--I just framed it that way as I was running out of film and really wanted to have a picture of some of the cool cactus.

This is a green house in the Heritage Square park at Santa Fe Springs. We don't ALWAYS have time to look around before a show but, when we do, I just love finding spots like this (this one was all Sean--I'm just glad I had my camera!)

Here's Sean inside the Greenhouse from the previous picture. I loved that Greenhouse and would have stayed there all day...but, we had a show!
I'll post more later! I've got a few more from Santa Fe Springs (a good show by the way!) and then I'll be pulling some more 'views from the road' to share!
Enjoy!
