Star Trek Cribs

Spock on the phone

OMG! This is the funniest stuff I've seen! It's been out since last year but, I JUST saw it (my my husband's blog...he's on his game, let me tell ya!) so, I thought I'd post it too!

It's that great style of animating action figures (kind of like a "living" Toy Fair bit). In this series of vids, Charlie Murphy plays Spock and Craig Kilborn plays Kirk. The videos were a promo campaign for G4's airing of Star Trek 2.0 and was commisioned through 72 and Sunny. As of this writing I don't know who MADE the video (and I'm not sure if it was 72 and Sunny, or if they're the folks that paid for it!).

The series includes vids of Spock and Kirk poolside, the gang at a Karaoke Bar, and at a Coffee shop...plus the awesome Star Trek cribs.

You can find the vids at 72 and sunny's website, on G4's website, and You Tube.

Bees and Q's!

Bees are fun!

Don, after the show, shows off his cool Bee rod puppet (they do a great job of attacking stuff and bee-ing funny!) and answers questions.

Red Riding Hood

Omnipresent Puppet Theatre
Don with Red Riding Hood.

I really enjoyed this show! The jokes were funny, the performance sweet, and the performer a pro! Red had such sass! She was curious and questioning but never seemed to lose her joy! She found the best of her situation and would literally laugh in the face of adversity--a character I could get behind.

She moves!

SFBAPG Holiday Party - CRAFT FRENZY!!

Feeding frenzy!

Guild Members get in line to look through FREE craft goodies (buttons you can use to make puppet eyes, beads, bits of lace), and stuff you might need to complete you archives (old Puppetry Journals). Very cool!

This largesse was courtesy of Lettie Connell Schubert's estate. It was nice that we all got to take a little something home (Lettie would have loved it! She always shared...her knowledge, her time!).

My muse

Oh, I had such fun snapping this guy! Such concentration! He had great expressions too! I could have filled a book on his expressions, and each one, like snowflakes, would be different.

adding candy
Such a sweet expression. If I was a painter--it'd be a masterpiece!

Adding Frosting

That's a GOOD one!
I told ya the kids kept eating the decorations! Here's the proof! Hee-hee!

Aw! Busted!

Hurray! It's perfect!
A pic of one of the boys putting some decorations on his tree...and obviously very pleased with the results.

Busted
I was aiming for a pic of him focused on applying decorations--he was reaching for additional "ingredients" with such a lovely intesity--and then he looked up just as my camera clicked...BUSTED! I laughed so hard and apologized for interrupting him. He said it was fine and then went back to his tree. So kind.

I do love the look on his face though. It still cracks me up.

Enjoy!

Icing the tree!

So, in addition to making puppets, the kids in these two classes got to make and decorate Christmas trees (fun!). It was easy! An ice cream cone, some frosting and lots of candy. Ms. Eileen and Ms. Sandy had to keep reminding the kids NOT to eat the candy! It was supposed to go on the tree!

I had so much funs taking pics of the kids eating and decorating, that I thought I'd share them with you!

Adding candy

More to come!
